Employment Information
CCS currently has 130 employees. The growth of staff members has steadily increased year after year since CCS began. While staff levels are determined by the needs of CCS clients although generally, the number of employees (high or low; part time or full time) is less significant to Sylvia than the quality of work performed and the company’s ability to train and motivate employees to maximize output while minimizing expenses and resources. CCS has well defined hiring policies although many new hires come from existing trusted employee referrals of friends and family members. Staff consists of mostly part time help hired on an as needed basis. Due to the longevity of employment, CCS is fortunate to have a highly trained and efficient staff that minimizes employee turnover and/or the need to hire additional staff except during expansion phases.
On average, employees have been with the company for 4 years. They stay because they are paid and trained well in order to be continually motivated and to develop skill sets and experience. They are also treated with tremendous respect and value with regard to their time and their personal/family needs. For example, CCS is very tolerant of employee sabbaticals so staff members can go back to their home countries for extended visits. In return, the staff members are highly effective at working out shift coverage’s with other CCS employees in their absence. This family style work environment has been tremendously successful for employee, client and company and remains a powerful motivator for continued employee retention.
